Females make 55% of USP’s graduation list
Fifty five per cent of the total graduates at University of the South Pacific’s graduation ceremony last week were females.
This is an increase of one per cent from 2015.
A record number of students have graduated fromĀ USP’s Laucala graduation ceremony with th Pro-Chancellor and Chair of the University Council, Mr Winston Thomson, conferring the degrees diplomas and certificates to 1606 graduates from 20 nationalities.
Five students graduated with PhDs and 243 students graduated from Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE).
Vice Chancellor and President Professor Rajesh Chandra, while congratulating the graduates, said the graduates can become good ambassadors for the University through their strong, innovative, ethical and excellent contributions to society.
